Freud Meets Buddha Target Audience
This program is designed to meet the educational needs for private practice therapists, psychologists, counselors, social workers, interventionists, law enforcement, public health officials, families, and people in recovery.
- To identify current evidence-based, specific diagnostic, and treatment approaches, counseling skills, and modalities that will be successfully applied to the fields of mental health, behavioral health, and addictive disorders, including but not limited to co-occurring disorders, ethics, addiction, and trauma.
- To identify the symptoms and characteristics of the disorders mentioned in objective #1 and how they have interfered with the clients’ interpersonal and family relationships.
- To participate in skill-building sessions and unique training that offer cognitive and experiential clinical techniques to assist in patient/client recovery from these listed disorders.
In support of improving patient care, North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
American Psychological Association
North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, LLC (NACCME) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NACCME maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

AAHCPAD - American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders
This program has been submitted for approval to the AAHCPAD for Certified Addiction Specialists.
NAADAC - The Association for the Addiction Professionals
This course has been approved by NACCME, LLC, as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for educational credits. NAADAC Provider #182840. NACCME is responsible for all aspects of the programming.
ASWB - Association of State Social Work Boards
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NACCME is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. NACCME maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 24 Advanced continuing education credits.
IC&RC - International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium
This program is approved by IC&RC for 24 CEs.
IC&RC establishes, monitors, and advances reciprocal competency standards for eight reciprocal credentials: Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ADC), Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (AADC), Clinical Supervisor (CS), Prevention Specialist (PS), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP), Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CCDP), Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate (CCDPD), and Peer Recovery (PR).
NBCC - National Board for Certified Counselors
Learners seeking addiction counseling credits recognized by the NBCC will receive a certificate of participation that may be presented to individual state licensing boards with session materials for consideration of approval.
NASW - National Association of Social Workers
Most state boards accept both NASW and ASWB for social work approval. For social workers attending the event, please refer to your state licensing requirements for renewal.
State Accreditation Boards
Because regulations and guidelines do change, please check with your state licensing board to ensure that nationally approved courses can be used to satisfy your continuing education needs. In most cases, state licensing boards allow courses for re-certification if they are nationally approved.
